Percussion Tracking, The Soundlot, and Jam Session Studios

We’ve been getting things done these past couple of weeks at Bipolar Music, and with our friends at Soundlot Studios and Jam Session Studios.

Percussion has been tracked for “Can’t Run Back”- set to be the first single from Shneaky’s debut album which will be released this summer. We’re excited to get the song mastered and ready for everyone to hear.

Special thanks to Lester Mendoza from Soundlot Studios for working with us on the tracking of “Can’t Run Back”. While we were there Lester and Manny couldn’t help themselves and had to do some collaborating of their own. They laid down the foundation for a house/dance track that’s definitely going to get people moving.

I also stopped by Jam Session studios to do a bit of engineering for a writing session with Tim Stewart and Charles Streeter. Impressive and inspiring, in all aspects. Hope to work with them again.

Update: Shneaky’s Debut Album

We’ve been hard at work in the studio recording Shneaky’s debut album set to drop this summer. This live hip hop album is a throwback to how legit albums have historically been made using real instruments – no computerized beats.

This past week we finished the recording guitars and vocals for the first single from the album “Can’t Run Back” which features DamonReel. Check some pics from our sessions. The Los Guys will be back in the studio this week tracking drums for the remainder of the songs.

Upcoming Show – Shneaky Live

A show has been scheduled for Tuesday September 27, 2011. Shneaky will be performing with The Los Guys and special guests DamonReel and Sabrina Cabral. They will be performing songs from Shneaky’s upcoming album “The Collaboration” as well as live renditions of songs from the Strictly Sinatra EP. This performance is definitely not one you want to miss – ESPECIALLY since it’s free.

The “EVERTUNE”- Keep your guitar in tune..forever???

The evertune is a new development in the world of guitars. It’s a specially designed bridge that gets installed on your guitar and keeps your guitar in-tune – ALWAYS. I started reading up on it. Seems like a process but definitely an investment. Maybe I’ll get one soon..?
